Calibration artefacts
Use calibration artefacts for periodic verification of your machine according to applicable standards.
Coordinate measuring machines are uncompromising in their measuring accuracy, provided they are configured correctly. Test pieces are used for standards-compliant calibration, and measuring bodies help define the zero point precisely before each measurement in everyday work. We offer both, together with thoughtfully designed holders. Calibrations can also be booked as a service for all reference standards.
ZEISS calibration artefacts, standards-compliant
Coordinate measuring machines must be inspected regularly according to ISO 9000-9004 quality standards. The procedure for acceptance and confirmation testing is described in detail in ISO 10360. Test bodies, with their highly precise calibrated values and aligned with standards-compliant procedures for coordinate measuring machines according to VDI/VDE 2617 Sheet 5 and DIN EN ISO 10360, serve as references. In addition, VDA 5 and VDI/VDE 2617 Sheet 8 are decisive for determining the suitability of the test process. Test bodies are also suitable for checking contour measuring machines according to guideline VDI/VDE 2629; for certain geometric elements, measurement uncertainty can be determined according to ISO 15530. This standards-compliant basic adjustment of the measuring instrument is scheduled once a year. It is also recommended whenever there are doubts about accuracy, for example after temperature fluctuations or mechanical damage.
